Cadey Phipps, LMFT
I’m Cadey and my pronouns are she/her. As a therapist, I find it important to first show up as a human. I aim to meet others where they are and allow for the parts of me that have personally experienced healing, heartbreak, love, grief, joy, trauma, and loss to sit beside me as I work with you. I love that my job allows me to connect to other, real humans with compassion and curiosity. When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my partner and our rainbow/IVF toddler, and our cats; reading; creating music; or eating at a new restaurant. I love finding new ways to move my body in a fun and enjoyable way, and am HAES aligned and IE informed. I am passionate about helping humans connect to their inner wisdom in order to connect fully with others. I’m here to listen without judgement and help you find healing, peace, and acceptance in order to live your most authentic life. I am so excited to work with you, wherever you are in your life journey!
My Therapeutic Approach is:
Embodied & Experiential
I take an embodied approach to therapy that invites us to move beyond talking alone. Our work may include mindfulness, visualization, and noticing how experiences live in the body, creating space for deeper awareness and healing.
Integrative & Creative
Therapy is a shared process rooted in connection. I show up as a real human and work alongside you with curiosity and care. Together, we explore patterns, relationships, and internal systems in a way that feels supportive and collaborative.
Affirming & Non-Judgmental
I am committed to offering a safe, non judgmental, affirming space for all clients. My work is LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally sensitive, and shaped by an intersectional and disability justice aligned lens.
Systemic & Holistic
I view healing through a systemic and holistic lens, honoring how personal history, relationships, and larger systems shape our inner world. Drawing from IFS and integrative modalities, we work toward meaningful, sustainable change.

How I Show Up as a Therapist
I am passionate about helping humans connect to their inner wisdom in order to connect fully with others. I’m here to listen without judgement and help you find healing, peace, and acceptance in order to live your most authentic life. My ideal client isn’t necessarily one type of human, more-so any human who is ready to do the deep healing work that we’re all capable of when we’re ready. I particularly enjoy working with other therapists and healers.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts work” is my primary model and influences not only the way I show up in my office, but in the world. I sometimes pull in Polyvagal Theory and somatic, body-based interventions that come from my trauma-informed yoga teacher training and somatic EMDR training. I also pull from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principals, Bowenian ideology, Imago theory, and Brainspotting tools, and function with a mindset inspired by the work of Esther Perel, Glennon Doyle, Brené Brown, and secular spirituality.
In our work together we will most likely move our bodies, meditate and visualize together, cry together, and laugh together. I extend my own “Self” energy to you in a way that gives permission for you to do the same to your own internal system. I will gently push and challenge you while also validating your human experience. I will teach you how to do the counter-intuitive thing: lean into the yuck instead of away from it; getting to know your internal system and allowing for parts of you that have been wounded and carrying burdens of things like shame, grief, and loneliness to finally release those. The work may not always be fun, but it is so, so worth it ; and I am honored to witness every step of the way.
