Ana Quirk, LMFT
I’m Ana and my pronouns are she/her. I am passionate about the mind-body connection and show up as a human first, therapist second. I believe in creating a safe and authentic space by honoring your choices and trusting that you are your own greatest teacher. Outside of being a therapist, I am also a doctoral student of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Tennessee. When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my spouse and our two fur daughters, picking vegetables from my garden, coming up with a new pasta recipe, reading a good non-fiction book, or learning about severe weather. I am a heavily meditated goth at heart, and sessions with me will often incorporate science, mindfulness (including some gentle movement), existentialism, and storytelling. I am honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
My Therapeutic Approach is:
Embodied and Trauma-Informed
My approach is deeply aware of and sensitive to the ways in which our bodies hold our life experiences, and I believe in meeting you where you’re at and moving at your pace, in a way that feels safe and accessible.
Systemic and Relational
I view healing and change through a systemic lens, understanding the impact that your immediate and larger systems have on your experience and the roles they play on your healing journey.
Evidence-Based and Holistic
The way I work is both science-based and integrative. I draw from mindfulness, ACT, CFT, and Narrative Therapy to weave together all aspects of your being and support healing that is collaborative, person-centered, and meaningful.
Grounded in Compassion and Liberation
I approach therapy from a non-pathologizing lens that is nonjudgmental, culturally sensitive, attuned, and that honors ancestral healing and indigenous wisdom. I believe that compassion is central to our wellbeing and view it as a path to remembering our shared humanity.
