“We’re all just trying to get through this thing called life.”

The longer I live, the more I believe that.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line. Before pursuing Marriage and Family Therapy, I spent more than 25 years in entertainment, helping tell stories through music, television, and film. Along the way, I became fascinated by the stories people live, the struggles they carry, the patterns they repeat, and the resilience that keeps them moving forward.

I also bring lived experience into the room. I’ve navigated marriage, parenting, grief, anxiety, disappointment, and the challenge of finding your footing when life doesn’t go according to plan.

How I Show Up as a Therapist

I think about therapy the way Michelangelo thought about sculpture. He believed that every block of stone already contained the statue within it. The sculptor’s job wasn’t to create something new.

It was to remove what was hiding it.

Life has a way of adding layers. Hurt. Loss. Fear. Anxiety. Disappointment. Over time, those experiences can create a wall around us, making it harder to trust, connect, grow, or fully be ourselves.

Maybe therapy isn’t about becoming a new person.

Maybe therapy is about chipping away what no longer serves us and uncovering the authentic person you were meant to be all along.

My hope is to create a space that feels real, where you can be honest about what hurts, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and begin moving toward healing, connection, and change.

As an MFT Intern, I view people through a relational lens. We are shaped by our families, relationships, experiences, and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. When we understand those patterns, we gain the freedom to change them.

And sometimes, we don’t have to do it alone.
