Lauren Fisher, AMFT

Hello! My name is Lauren, my pronouns are she/her. Thank you for being here. I come to this work with a genuine belief that some of the most meaningful growth happens when we feel truly safe, seen, and understood. That’s what I’m committed to building in every space I share with a client. I find so much meaning in witnessing people do the courageous work of understanding themselves more deeply.

I believe that healing is relational. The connection we build together in therapy is part of the work. I show up as a real human being, with you along this journey of healing. I care about the people I work with, genuinely. It’s a privilege to be trusted with someone’s most courageous and vulnerable parts.

Outside of the office, you can find me connecting with the people I love, getting outside among the trees, or singing with my guitar. I love finding new ways to be creative, explore my own inner world, and stay curious about what it means to keep growing.

My Therapeutic Approach is:

Compassionate and Curious

We are all nuanced, complicated human beings, but I believe we share a universal desire to feel truly understood and emotionally safe. I bring deep empathy and genuine curiosity to my work. You are the expert on your own life; I’m here to learn your world alongside you.

Experiential and Depth-Oriented

My work goes beyond the cognitive. I’m drawn to the deeper layers, the internal systems, the body, the relational patterns we’ve carried for years. Together, we explore what’s underneath so you can build greater self-trust, process your experiences, and move toward a greater alignment.

Collaborative and Authentic

This is your space. I encourage you to tell me what’s working and what needs adjusting, and I show up as a real human alongside you, present for the hard stuff and genuinely invested in your growth. Therapy is a shared process, and I believe connection and collaboration are at the heart of it.

Inclusive and Social Justice-Oriented

I am committed to offering an affirming, non-judgmental space for all identities. I recognize that systems of oppression shape our experiences in ways that can’t be separated from our healing, and I strive to honor that in every room I’m in.

How I Show Up as a Therapist

I am passionate about this work in a way that’s hard to fully put into words. What I know is that I’ve seen what’s possible when someone finally feels safe enough to be honest and explore the underlying thoughts, feelings, and emotions they carry both within the therapeutic space and within themselves.

My approach is relational and experiential, which means I’m not just interested in understanding what you think, but how you feel it, where you carry it, and what it’s been like to live inside your particular experience. I believe that our internal systems are deeply shaped by our relationships and our history, and that real change happens when we approach those systems with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment or force.

I draw primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in my work, weaving in attachment-based and trauma-informed frameworks across everything I do. I also work with couples and relational systems, utilizing both EFT and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help partners rebuild trust, reduce conflict, and create more connected and secure relationships together. Whatever brings you in, my goal is to help you access greater internal balance, connection, and authentic growth.

I bring my genuine self into the room. I’ll feel the weight of your hard moments with you and the joy of your breakthroughs. I’ll push you gently when it’s time, hold space when it’s desired, and be there to support you as you undergo the worthwhile journey of therapeutic healing. This process isn’t always easy, but you can rest assured that you won’t be alone.

Whatever brings you here, I’m grateful that you’re considering taking this step, and I look forward to meeting you.
