Lacey Raley, LMFT

I’m Lacey (she/her). I believe we are meant to heal together, and I work from a relational approach to therapy. You deserve to feel connected to yourself and others, because meaningful connection is at the heart of a fulfilling life.

While my populations and modalities have shifted over time, the core themes of my work remain the same: embodiment, connection, autonomy, and community. I work with individuals and couples who want to deepen their relationship with themselves and with one another, especially when cultural pressures have disrupted that connection.

I support individuals and couples navigating religious and spiritual trauma, work in the music and creative industries, body image and relationship with food, adult ADHD and neurodivergence, anxiety, and perfectionism. As the partner of a touring musician for over a decade, I especially enjoy supporting those navigating this unique relational dynamic.

My Therapeutic Approach is:

Relational & Affirming

I believe healing happens in connection. My work is affirming, non-judgmental, and grounded in relationship, helping you reconnect with yourself and others in meaningful ways. You are welcomed as you are, and our work honors your autonomy, identity, and lived experience.

Embodied & Integrative

I take an embodied and integrative approach to therapy, weaving together somatic awareness, parts work, breathwork, and nervous system regulation. Our work supports rebuilding trust with your body and inner experience so you can feel more present, grounded, and connected.

Compassionately Challenging

My style is active, curious, and direct. I bring compassion while also gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we explore needs, boundaries, and relational dynamics, creating space for growth, accountability, and deeper self-understanding over time.

Justice-Oriented & Evidence-Based

I integrate evidence-based practices with a holistic understanding of human experience. Drawing from IFS, mindfulness, attachment theory, and polyvagal concepts, I support healing that honors both science and meaning.

How I Show Up as a Therapist

I work from an intersectional, creative perspective with a somatic focus. I value the vast variety within our human experience, and I truly love that we all have our own unique parts, needs, and goals. This keeps life interesting!

What to expect in a session with me: I communicate openly and directly with lots of curiosity. My sessions are typically active: getting to know your parts (IFS), breathwork, nervous system regulation, reframing relational patterns, challenging you to take up more space, identifying and asking for what you need. This also includes working toward unconditional self-compassion by repairing the innate trust you once had in yourself and your body; we need to become a safe space for ourselves.

I’m passionate about responsibility and accountability, so I invite my clients to be open with feedback on what is and is not working for them, not only in their lives, but in our work together. Through it all, research shows us time and time again that the most important therapeutic factor of change is the connection you have to your therapist, so it’s very much a part of my job to ensure you’re getting what you need out of the sessions you’re paying for. I know that therapy is a financial commitment and often a privilege to access, so I strive to meet you in whatever feels genuinely helpful for your life and relationships.

I’m aligned and affirming of Health at Every Size (HAES), neurodivergence, LGBTQ+, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion.

Outside of the therapy room, my daily life looks like listening to music I love, trying new things, movement in or outside of the gym, making colorful food, art projects, game nights, binging tv, thrifting, trying to stay up to date on the state of the world and my community, and finding beauty in the small stuff. I have lived experiences with chronic illnesses, hypermobility, neurodivergence, disembodiment, and religious trauma.
